There are a few online bingo sites awards out there but probably the most important of them is the Which Bingo awards as it is voted for by you the players. The awards started way back in 2006 when Mecca Bingo came out on top. In 2007 a separate award was added to celebrate the newest bingo site of the year too and ever since the awards have just got bigger and bigger. This year’s results have just been announced and we are happy to tell you the Which Bingo Site of the Year 2010 is Sun Bingo.

Sun Bingo has had an amazing year packed full of some of the best promotions we have seen giving away a small fortunes worth of cash and prizes including electrical goodies, holiday and thirty cars over thirty days. It is this kind of commitment to player satisfaction combined with excellent advertising that has seen Sun Bingo come out on top. Filling the other two positions in the top sites of the year were Mecca Bingo in second closely followed by Moon Bingo in third.

The new site of the year category was hotly contended with over forty new online bingo sites launched in 2010 but Bingo Hollywood battled to the top spot with their glamorous theme and top notch promotions. Coming in second place was Bingo Giving the site dedicated to raising money for good causes. Moon Bingo bought up the rear in this category too after launching their new site last year.

This years awards did bring up a few surprises though with Tombola Bingo dropping from fourth place in 2009 to a lowly tenth being beaten by some surprising entries such as Cyber Bingo, Gossip Bingo and ChitChat Bingo; Maybe its time for them to make their promotions as interesting as their games? In another big surprise Foxy Bingo only managed to make fourteenth place which is sure to send the purple suited Foxy into a frenzy!
