Tea and Bingo January 2010
Tea and Bingo is a superb new bingo site that has just launched using the excellent Virtue Fusion software offering free bingo a 100% welcome bonus up to a whopping £250. This month we sat down for a cuppa and chat with to Helen Moore the online bingo sites marketing manager to find out a little more about this great new concept.

Tea and Bingo is a great new site, how did it come about?
Thank you so much, we love it too! There are so many online bingo sites available now that we wanted to create THE destination for bingo players- somewhere fun but stylish, welcoming and totally interactive, with loads of hidden extra features such as our free tea leaf readings! We’ve been working on the exact look and feel, our core values and our TV adverts all summer long and we’re really pleased with the results. We’ve received so much positive feedback from our players we’re confident Tea And Bingo will just keep getting bigger and better.
What made you choose the Virtue Fusion software?
We wanted to make sure we could offer players huge progressive jackpots, and at the same time we wanted to ensure we had private rooms with exclusive chat games and a friendly environment. The Virtue Fusion software offers all these elements plus loads of extras, such as community slot game Marine Mayhem, plus it’s very user friendly which is a key factor for us.
Tea and Bingo is very original, who came up with the concept?
We wanted to create something that would really stand out from the crowd- a totally unique style with an honest, relaxed and fun offering of great games and brilliant chat. When our branding agency ‘Tim And Michael’ brought us the initial concept we absolutely loved it; it completely summed up the atmosphere we wanted to create and it’s so accessible for everyone to enjoy.
What games are available at Tea and Bingo?
We offer a variety of bingo game styles- such as 90 ball, 75 ball, speed bingo and pattern bingo plus a huge choice of arcade games, including progressive slots, instant win scratch cards, 3 reel fruities and classic casino games blackjack and roulette.
Do you offer free bingo at Tea and Bingo?
We want to reward loyal players with free bingo games rather than offering hours of free games with low value prizes, so everyday at 7pm the first round’s on us in the Frog And Crown with a £10 guaranteed prize fund! We follow this up with Happy Hour and themed entertainment hours.
How important do you feel a community section is to the success of an online bingo site?
Having an interactive and vibrant community is hugely important to us, which is why our club members can vote in fun polls, comment on blog news and gossip, and upload photos. It’s really down to the community to be the heart and soul of a great bingo club.
For such a new site you already have impressive jackpots, what is the largest amount won to date?
We recently had our first BingoLinx winner who scooped £500! She wanted to spend the money on an ipod for her husband, so we sent her an ipod so she could treat herself instead- we understand that a little care and attention is really appreciated by players. There’s also currently over £1 million to be won on Clover Rollover which could really start someone’s New Year with a bang!
What promotions do you have running during January?
Our focus in January is New Year, New You! We’ll be running different promotions every week with an emphasis on looking good and feeling great. New players can take advantage of our 100% match bonus up to £250! Keep checking the website for the latest offers!
Where do you see Tea and Bingo in 12 months time?
Our goal is to open up online bingo to a wider audience so hopefully over the course of a year we’ll be everyone’s number 1 bingo site!
How do you see online bingo developing in the future?
One of the best things about online bingo is its ability to develop with greater player interaction and more added twists which give players extra bonuses- for example Deal Or No Deal Bingo has been massively popular at Tea And Bingo. The game plays as normal with a Deal Or No Deal background theme but as your numbers are called, boxes with the corresponding numbers are opened. The full house winner can then try to beat the banker and all the players in the room can vote whether they think they should take the offer or keep their box! It’s just an added extra which makes the game even more exciting and gives players another chance to win a cash prize. Being able to give our players a choice of game is great, and it seems likely that we’ll see more and more bingo games like this coming out in the near future.
